It wasn’t too long ago that artists would make countless sketches on paper before they could get satisfactory results. The overall process would be arduous and would take a lot of time.
Thanks to the growth of technology, improving and making sketches is now easier than ever. You can use tools such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Autodesk SketchBook to make better drawings and enhance the viewing experience of the audience.
The primary goal of making sketches is to put across the message as effectively as possible, and a drawing tablet makes it possible. If you are starting, choosing the best drawing tablet can sometimes seem complicated with the numerous choices on the market.
However, we are going to make it simple for you by providing a review of some of the cheapest drawing tablets on the market.
Wacom Intuos Graphics Drawing Tablet Is typically the best definition of entry-level drawing tablet. It has the aesthetics, the tablet is also slim, and the best of all, it is cheap. The tablet has four customizable hotkeys, and on top of it, it is generally pleasant.
The drawing area of about 6 inches and 3 and 1/2 inches is quite sufficient and is almost like a sketchbook drawing space. It is compact and does not take a lot of space on the counter.
Most artists prefer a compact graphics drawing tablet that doesn’t take a lot of bench space, and which they can hold on their lap as they focus on the drawing. If it is too big, then it is not compact and may affect convenience.
The pen has up to 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, with many artists will find quite useful. However, this is one area that most manufacturers tend to focus on when marketing, but it is one of the most overrated stat, in my opinion.
Calibration of the levels of sensitivity is more important, and it is one area that Wacom, have excelled with this cheap drawing tablet.
The connectivity of the drawing tablet is also not so bad. You have the option of connecting to the USB cable and enjoy the wireless kick whenever you need to. In fact, going wireless is so much convenient, and of course, fun.
Unfortunately, the drawing tablet does not have an inbuilt screen that can guide you when making your sketches. It is the kind of tablet that you look on the computer screen as you make the sketches. This might prove a bit of a learning curve for people that are used to making sketches on paper.
The pen pressure on the screen tablet is exceptional and feels like the real thing on paper. I have come across artists that are reluctant to give up the sketchbook because of the way it feels, or the experience that they get from drawing on paper. However, that is the kind of people that will change their perspective when they use this drawing tablet.
The device works the way that you would expect as the pen pressure is just right. It is user-friendly, and you don’t have to play around with settings to get the most appropriate for your needs. The drawing texture is one thing that I like, and it is what enhances the drawing experience that you get from the tablet. It is one of the areas that the manufacturer has focused on to make the drawing experience wonderful.
Some drawing tablets that I have come across have these plastic sound that may be a bit distracting especially for the beginners who are used to paper. They say that first impression is most lasting, and the feeling that you get from this drawing tablet the first moment that you lay your hands on it is what you can refer to as exceptional.
The drawing pen is lightweight, but for some people, it may be too lightweight for comfort. Something more substantial, but not too heavy may be the most fitting. It feels like you have to grip the pen too hard enough to make anything out of it. But once you get used to using it, everything becomes more straightforward, and of course, fun.
The width of the pen is not too so bad, and it is on the same level as other types of pen that come with such devices as Apple tablet. Therefore, it does not feel odd in any way when you get to use it.
Some people may find the customizable hotkeys at the top to be wrongly placed. It would be more convenient if the buttons were on the side like most devices. I find it to be inconvenient to have the buttons at the top, and some of us may not use them at all.
Also, it may take some time to install the drivers on a Mac OS. However, it is an effortless exercise when using Windows. As a rule of the thumb, always uninstall the other drawing tablet driver software in your Mac OS before installing the Wacom drawing tablet drivers, and it will save you so much trouble.
You will find the software to be quite user-friendly, and everything is simple to understand. The Bells and whistles on Wacom tablet, as well as the affordable pricing, is what makes it one of the most competitive drawing tablet on the market. It is solid, and the drawing texture is just perfect.
But if you’re going to use the tablet on a full-time basis, you might feel a little constrained because of the size. In that regard, a bigger tablet may be more appropriate, but it also depends on preferences and needs.
With up to 8192 levels of pen pressure and a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, you have one of the best screen tablets on your hands. Essentially, it is something for the pros, but that does not mean beginners cannot use it.
At around $500, it is not one of the most affordable drawing tablets on the market? But considering the quality, the price is actually a bargain.
Out-of-the-box, the drawing tablets come with various peripherals for its connectivity and usability. For the faint of heart, the many peripheral may seem overwhelming, and especially so for the beginners. Apart from a tablet, there are two Huion pens, a charging cable for the pen, USB cable, Pen holder, HDMI cable, Power adaptor, VGA cable, and installation CD, and finally, a manual. It also comes with a power adaptor that you can connect to the main socket.
The design of the drawing tablet is sleek and sturdy. It has a minimalist design with no buttons for shortcuts on the side. Well, this may not be a matter of concern for some people. You will notice a rubber cushion at the bottom to provide a good grip on the surface. The feature prevents sliding when you are using the tablet.
You will find the image settings buttons on the bottom right corner and are sufficiently labeled and you know which buttons you are using.
The adjustable stand is a great addition especially for people that love using the drawing tablet upright. You can adjust the stand in various angles according to your preference.
I consider this adjustable stand as one of the most excellent features on this drawing tablet. It helps you adjust the tablet to a comfortable level so that you can make efficient sketches and drawings.
You can mount the tablet on an Ergotron arm, and free the desk space for your keyboard and other vital things. It weighs 13 lbs which is not much in my opinion.
The drawing tablet has one of the most exceptional screens with up to 16.7 Million Colours. It boasts a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and the screen size is 19.5 inches. And to reduce the glare, the tablet comes with a matte screen protector. The protector also gives the tablet a paper feel to enhance drawing experience, and you mostly feel like you are sketching on a sketchbook.
It is important to note that the tablet has plenty of real estate on the screen, and which is quite a good thing for artists. As such, the area is sufficient for drawing and sketching as much as you want. You also get excellent viewing angles from the IPS panel, and the sturdy stand makes that a possibility.
The connectivity of this tablet is exceptional, and it allows you to connect to a variety of peripherals. We are currently living in an interconnected world, and interconnectivity, especially in a drawing tablet is a fantastic feature.
It has a VGA connection port, HDMI port, USB port, DVI port, and power port.
The settings app is one area that Huion has excelled. It is quite robust, and all the settings that you require are easily accessible. But the best of all is that the settings app is user-friendly. You can save and load your calibration settings according to preference and needs.
Such features as the switch display focus are one of the most important, and it helps you move between screens effectively. I found it to be quite useful and you don’t have to keep switching from the pen to the mouse. This is one particular feature that you will not find in other drawing tablets, and you might as well cherish it.
The tablet has one of the best performing drawing pens. With such features as 233PPS report rate and 8192 levels of pressure, you can understand why it does not have any lag, and boasts a faster recognition.
Another issue is the screen protector. Like most of us, you may be curious to know whether it is better to use the tablet without the protector. In my opinion, I like the screen without the protector as the image seems more vibrant, and the feel of the pen as you draw is almost like nothing you have ever come across. In the beginning, you may feel a bit of squeaking from the stylus, but it somehow disappears over time.
You will appreciate the fact that the drawing tablet comes with two pens and you can use one of them while the other is charging. This makes it convenient, and you don’t have to interrupt you are sketching or drawing just because the pen ran out of power.
The pen has two buttons that you can customize according to preferences. You can choose what to assign them from the settings program. You may notice that the change between light and hard strokes is not an uphill task. This may be because of the 8192 levels of pressure, but it is one feature that I find to be one of the greatest.
And even though the pens are plastic, they have a subtle metallic finish that makes them quite appealing, and of course, comfortable to use. Many of you will agree with me that beautiful products with exceptional design are always pleasant to use. They add some level of confidence into the skill.
The feel of the pen is also fantastic in my opinion. It ranks higher than the other pens that I have tried. You may notice that it is a bit longer and wider than the Wacom-type pens. But that is not a bad thing, and will not affect your efficiency.
Its compatibility with other programs such as Photoshop and Sketchbook Pro is just fantastic. You will also find that the tablet is good with Medibang and Zbrush. I mentioned earlier that this tablet is for the pros, and such functionalities vindicate my perspective.
We are living in exciting times where technology has become a part of our life, and especially in business. It, therefore, makes sense to take advantage of all the tools that you can lay your hands on me to be efficient and produce the best works that impress the stakeholders. HuionKAMVAS GT-191 Drawing Tablet Is the kind of tool that technologically-savvy artists will find quite useful.
Out-of-the-box, the first thing that you will notice is the exceptional design. It is Slim and has this alluring appearance that makes you want to carry it around all the time. Some objects have this feeling, and I must admit it is quite fantastic. You may not realize it at first, but aesthetics are some of the most essential qualities in modern technological tools. We are all after stylish equipment, and the market seems to agree with this notion.
It has a cool looking stand for the pen, and it makes everything look professional. And unlike other tablets, this one comes with a beautiful and fitting glove for drawing.
Apart from the slim design, the tablet is lightweight, and that makes it easy to carry around. It weighs only 1.3 lbs and is 8mm thick. For artists that love rotating the paper as they draw will you find this tablet quite useful? It is easy to turn and draw with much details as possible.
And still on design, the drawing tablet has customizable keys on the side, and which in my opinion are quite convenient. You can assign functions to these buttons according to preference.
The positioning of the buttons is quite critical in my opinion. It determines how efficient you are when using the device, and it saves a lot of time. You click on the button such as the eraser at the side and continue drawing. It would be a different case if the buttons were above the tablet.
It has up to 8 customizable buttons on the side. One interesting thing is that there is a function of zooming in and out of the sketch to get a better perspective of your work. As an artist, it is always good to have a good view of the art in different angles and make the necessary changes to have something exceptional. Artists are attentive to detail, and the zooming function is one of the greatest in my opinion.
The device is entirely compatible with a variety of drawing programs Such as Photoshop, illustrator, clip studio and Painter. Such compatibility with a wide range of programs means that you will not need to learn new applications to use the tablet. It is something like a plug and play, but with your skills.
I have always loved devices that do not require so much from my skills, and that in my opinion is the genius in good quality products. Simplicity is the genius I am talking about.
You can also use it in Mac OS computers as well as Windows 10 system. But it is also compatible with the Windows 7 and eight as well as Mac OS 10.8 and above systems.
The drawing tablet is adaptable to your needs, and it does not matter whether you are right or left handed. It is quite a blessing.
And just like me, you are going to love the significant working area that is at your disposal. in particular, 10 x 6.25 space is not so bad as an artist. It is something that will blow your mind because of the freedom you get to play around with the graphics.
But what about the quality of the screen?
The quality of the display is exceptional, and it boasts about 5080 lines per inch. Mainly, it seems that the significant drawing area does not affect its resolution in any way.
The stylus pen does not require any battery, and it is easy and comfortable to use. The pen boasts 8192 pressure levels that makes using it such a pleasure. But you may ask how the 8192 pressure levels help you as an artist.
The stat indicates that the quality of the drawings will be much better than some of its peers in the market. They will be more vivid and exceptional.
One thing about stylus pens that do not need any battery is that they are thinner and more efficient. They are lightweight, and that is exactly what you get with the stylus pen from is drawing tablet.
However, it is not everybody that might find the design of the pen to be quite efficient. Some users complain that it affects the ability to hold the pen freely and use it. It may be a little too lightweight, and slim than the real paint brushes and sketch pens. But this is not a thing that you may need to worry about as you will get used to it, over time.
It is also worth mentioning that the drawing tablet is affordable. The pricing is something that beginners will not feel the pinch. Novices have this try-and-see attitude that makes them trend carefully as opposed to professionals in the field.
And what makes the device perfect for both right and left users is the fact that you can rotate it 180 degrees. In other words, the screen turns to accommodate your preference and the hand that you usually use. This is quite delightful as it accommodates various types of users. The screen rotation, as well as the customizable case, makes it comfortable to use for left-handed users. In the majority of cases, it seems like most of the devices on the market are for right-hand users.
Among the few things and that beginners may find quite useful about this drawing tablet is its affordable pricing and user-friendliness. Beginners may be a little skeptical about spending too much on a device when they are trying to find a footing in terms of their skills.
It is quite affordable, and the tablet is a decent buy. You will not overspend on the tablet in any way, especially given that you are trying to transition from a paper drawing. The small surface may not be the most appropriate for some artists. But it is not so bad for novices.
Turcom TS-6608 is a small square drawing tablet with rounded edges that make it quite attractive. The quick shortcut keys make it easy to use and give it a beautiful design. I find the rounded corners to be quite beautiful, and they give the tablet a nice feel.
And even though the tablet is not without flaws, it functions well, especially for beginners. It is good for a start, but professionals may need something better with a bigger drawing space. But the benefit of that compact design is that it is easy to transport and store. It does not take a lot of space, and you can move with it anywhere, especially inside the backpack.
It weighs only two pounds, and the drawing area is 8″x6″. In my opinion, this is one of the smallest tablets you will find on the market. And as mentioned earlier, the small drawing area may not be appropriate for some professional sketchers and artists. It may feel a little constrained. However, the pricing may cover the shortcomings, if you know what I mean.
Some of the great features that come with this drawing tablet are the comfortable pen and replacement nibs. The decorative symbols on the border are something that you will notice which is quite different from other tablets. For example, these tabs serve as a replacement for hotkeys that you find in other tablets.
And while beginners may not have a problem with this, professionals that may be looking for something to replace their good quality tablet that may not be working will find it as a disadvantage. The hotkeys for them are preferable.
Therefore, instead of buttons that you can click and make the necessary selections, the tablet has touch areas. It is something like touch screen buttons.
Most artists will prefer clickable buttons as opposed to touch areas on the screen. It is more fun to click and customize the clickable buttons according to preference. therefore, most of the other tablets on the market will have customizable and clickable buttons to serve their different needs
The drawing quality is outstanding, and it is something that may be surprising for some people. Well, it is natural to expect low quality given the price point, but that is not the case.
Among the shortcomings of the drawing, the tablet includes the unclear installation instructions. Some users say that the installation process may not be straight forward like the other devices on the market. Also, the drivers that you need to install are not clear as well. There’s some confusion, in my opinion.
The Turcom website is not the most user-friendly, and it may take some time to find the right updated drivers for the drawing tablet. But once you access the right drivers, you are good to go, and it is only a matter of time before you get the drawing tablet working in the manner that you want.
The aesthetics are not so bad, and the screen area is user-friendly. It has a nice touch and drawing on it is fun. And while the 8×6 drawing area is quite small, it is not unusable. A few users will get you going in the right direction without so much hassle.
You will love the size of the pen, and it has clickable and customizable buttons on it. However, it may not be the pen that you need to use, but you can always replace it. For most artists, drawing comfort is critical, and it determines the quality of the end product.
The default pen accepts triple-A batteries, and that adds a little weight to it. Some of the contemporary drawing tablets have battery-less pens, and this may seem like a disadvantage to some people.
Unfortunately, the durability of the device may be in question, and the low price may not be low after all. There are numerous complaints regarding the drivers, and the unsupportive customer care. as an artist, this may be a worrying trend, since you want consistency, and reliability from your device. As someone said, cheap is always expensive, and you may rue your choice. And therefore, this is not the kind of tablet that you use for all your major projects. But it is important to note that it may be perfect for beginners. It is good for learning the ropes in drawing and sketching.
Another critical thing to note is that the pen does not have an on and off switch, and that may drain the battery quickly, and therefore the need to replace it comes sooner.
The good thing is that it is compatible with a variety of programs such as Photoshop, CorelDraw, Fireworks illustrator SAI and Comic Studio among others. You will not need to learn any new program and skills, and which a good thing as a beginner is. In that regard, we may say that it is user-friendly.
Graphics Tablet M708 UGEE is a beginner-friendly drawing tablet that isn’t too expensive. It is quite affordable, and it has the basic features that any beginner will find useful.
The drawing area is large and active, and it inspires you to play around with sketches until you get that perfect outcome to impress the audience. It has a compact design and is super lightweight just the way that anybody will find quite attractive. It seems as if the compact and lightweight devices are the trends in contemporary society, and this drawing tablet excels in that account.
It is therefore easy to carry around in a backpack to wherever you need to use it. For example, you may be having a drawing project at work or anywhere else, and such portability is a good thing.
The screen does not have any chopping, and considering the pricing, we can say that it is a decent buy for novices trying to find their way in the trade.
The quality of the drawing pen is not so bad, as it boasts up to 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity. You can change the thickness of the lines based on the amount of pressure that you place on the drawing screen using the pen. The harder you press, the thicker the lines and vice versa. Essentially, it makes drawing to be so much easy, and primarily as a beginner.
The surface of the tablet is paper-like and it is quite easy to use. You will feel like you are drawing on a real paper, and you can rotate as is necessary. The experience that you get from the drawing surface is natural and satisfying for anyone doing their sketches.
And like most other drawing tablets on the market, this device has a customizable shortcut key that you can take advantage of to make your work easier. And even better, the tablet is user-friendly for both right hand and left-hand use.
I love the placement of the shortcut keys, and they are in a way that accidental clicks are not possible. They are efficient in a way.
Accidental clicks are a significant problem with some of the drawing tablet on the market. That is especially true if the buttons are wrongly placed, and it interrupts the flow of the work. In ideal conditions, the drawing tablet needs to have an effective design to make tasks more comfortable and efficient, and that includes the placement of the buttons.
The rubberized grip on the stylus makes it even easier for you to use the device. You have a good grip on the pen, and you don’t need to keep on adjusting the position to prevent slips. The excellent grip also reduces tiredness and makes you more efficient than any other. You can, therefore, work for more extended periods to complete the project successfully.
Some people may find that the stylus pen is a bit longer than the others on the market. However, this may not be a problem for most artists. It is easy to adjust, and you can achieve efficiency within a short period. Beginners may take a little bit longer if they are used to shorter pens.
It is safe to say that the stylus pen is one of the best features on this drawing tablet. It as efficient and has an excellent design to help you achieve exceptional work on the screen.
The device is compatible with the various systems, and you will not need to learn anything new. It will also not give you challenges connecting to other devices, and you will love the ease at which it connects to other systems and devices. The drawing tablet is compatible with MAC OS 10.8 and above, as well as Windows 7, 8 and 10. Typically, these operating systems are the most popular in Contemporary Society.
The tablet is also compatible with Lightroom, CorelDRAW, Illustrator Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop CC, Autodesk, Macromedia brush and ZBrush.
Unfortunately, it is not compatible with chrome and Linux.
But apart from its excellent compatibility with a variety of software and programs, the device is generally user-friendly. The installation of the drivers as well as the customization user interface makes the process so easy for anyone. In my opinion, it may be a good option for beginners as well as professionals, but professionals may need something more quality and efficiency.
One significant difference that you will notice is that it does not have a USB charging port. Instead, it uses AAA batteries which last a long time. But still, it may be a sort of disadvantage as you are going to need to spend in replacement batteries, something that other devices may not require.
Rechargeable batteries have their shortcomings but, they also have a longer lifespan, and it makes it cheap for you in the long run.
Gaomon is not a new entrant in the market, and they are not an unknown brand from an obscure place. If anything, the company has been around for quite some time, and they are among the top players. They make quality products and are quite reliable.
Gaomon is excellent in accessorizing their products, and this drawing tablet is the best indication of this notion. It has some top quality features that any professional will find quite useful.
And why is it the perfect choice for professional artists?
The simple answer is that the tablet has excellent resolution and the responsiveness is fantastic.
One of my favorite functionalities regarding this drawing tablet is how easy you can connect to other devices such as a PC, a laptop or television to showcase your work. Therefore, you don’t need to pass around the tablet so that people can see your excellent drawing. This saves you a lot of hustle, and you can reach a broader audience, effortlessly.
And with a report rate of 233PPS and screen resolution of 5080, you can understand why it is one of the best drawing tablets on the market. The graphics are extremely clear and non-pixelated. It is something that is quite motivating for the artists as well as those learning the ropes.
The full HD screen and a display area of 344.16 × 193.59mm, a something that stokes your imagination as well as creativity. You have enough room play around with your imagination and a template to place all your dreams on. The excellent image color in the lines makes you a perfect artist that produces pieces that leaves the audience with their mouths wide open.
It comes with an adjustable stand that makes it pretty easy to use. You can adjust it according to your comfort level and of course, preferences.
And in terms of compatibility, this drawing tablet is something that you are going to be happy about. It interconnects with a wide variety of drawing platforms such as Photoshop, CorelDraw, Blender and ZBrush among others. It is a drawing tablet that supports your skills effectively and flawlessly.
Unfortunately, this is not one device that is user-friendly for the beginners. It requires a set of skills that beginners may not have. Therefore, they may struggle for some time before they figure the controls out.
For the left-hand users, you can adjust the controls to accommodate the left-hand use. This is one feature that is worth mentioning because most devices do not accommodate left-hand use. I have come across several, even though I am right-handed.
I find the lightweight design of the stylus pen to be a disadvantage, mostly because of the amount of pressure that you need to place to achieve specific results. This, in my opinion, is negative, and it would have been better if some more weight was added to it.
Most of the other drawing tablets on this review have up to 8 shortcut keys. However, this tablet has up to 10 hotkeys that you can easily customize according to your preferences and needs. But apart from the shortcut keys, there are an additional five menu keys. Mostly, many keys are designed to make your work effortless and quicker. You don’t have to scroll through a host of menus to get what you need.
However, it is sometimes a shortcoming having so many buttons to use. If anything, you may need to master the various keys before you can be efficient. That is why I mentioned that the device is not the best for beginners. But we all start somewhere. Don’t you think?
The device comes with a variety of cords that make the connection to a PC or laptop a breeze. Furthermore, connecting to a laptop is as easy as it can get. It is effortless and only takes a short time.
And to reduce the cable clutter, it has a 3 in 1 cable. You don’t have to deal with so many wires that make your work desk untidy.
The quality of the pen is perfect, with up to 8192 levels of pen pressure. Therefore, you have so many options to choose from to achieve excellent quality in your drawings. The pen is quite responsive, and you can gain efficiency effortlessly.
But the setup process may be a little tricky given that scouting around for the most appropriate drivers is not a walk in the park. The drivers are not the best, and you may struggle a bit with them.
Some users say that the drawing tablet can become non-responsive if you leave it idle for some time. It may take some time to revive it. You may encounter some challenges when installing the drivers. The drivers are not the best and scouting for the updated drivers may not be a walk in the park. However, it is always recommended that you uninstall any other drawing tablet drivers from the system before installing.
Wacom is a company that has been around since 1983. They have since established themselves as one of the best digital tablets manufacturers, and they excel in it. The latest release is the Wacom Intuos Pro Digital Graphic Drawing Tablet, and in my opinion, demonstrates their commitment to quality.
The first impression that you get after unboxing the drawing tablet is the exceptional finer details. For example, There are varying nibs with different properties that you can select. Also, you will find that there are different rings for the pens that you have the option to choose from
The build quality of the drawing tablet is even more impressive. It incorporates aluminum and carbon fiber to create something durable and quality. It is, therefore, no wonder that it is one of the most durable drawing tablets on the market. But is it an expensive device?
Well, the price point is above $300, and therefore it is not something cheap. But you may consider it favorable given that there are comparable tablets with a price point of above $500. Considering the quality, and the functionality of the tablet, we can say that it is good value for money.
The rubber strips underneath are an essential feature that prevents the tablet from slipping. You, therefore, have a stable working space to play your imagination. The edges are smooth, and the aesthetics are on point. There’s nothing cheap about this drawing tablet.
There are various buttons on the drawing tablets, and one of them is on the side for switching on and off. Holding it for a while activates the Bluetooth sync Set up. The other buttons have a nice feel to them under a significant improvement from the previous models. They do not experience cracking, and we have a nice feeling to them.
Another great update is the USB type c cable That connects to the other peripherals like your PC or laptop (Read about a few affordable laptops). Various users admit that the cable is a great addition compared to the different types of cables such as a mini cable or a permanently attached cable.
Wacom Intuos Pro software is quite efficient and is among the best on the market. Unlike the previous models, the application does not have many bugs. It also comes with a variety of options such as the pressure sensitivity to customize the stylus pen to your preference and needs. The menus and sub-menus are excellent especially for specific programs such as CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop. There’s a specific configuration that works with Adobe Photoshop efficiently.
The stylus pen has up to 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity that makes it quite efficient in the task.
The tablet also has eight Expresskeys that you can customize according to preference. You can assign different functions to make it convenient for you. But the customization does not end there. You can personalize it right hand or left-hand use, and so it accommodates different user needs.
The A5 size of the screen is quite sufficient in my opinion. It is enough area to try out different shapes and figures until you can get the perfect image that pleases you and others. But if you are used to bigger screens, then this A5 size may not be the most appropriate for you.
Bluetooth connectivity is an excellent addition to this drawing tablet. It is something that you may not get from its other competitors. Many PCs and laptops these days come with Bluetooth connectivity, and so having it on this tablet is something great.
And while I don’t have anything negative to say about the Bluetooth connectivity and this drawing tablet, it has several been reported that they are connection issues. And to be on the safe side, it is always best to listen to what the majority are saying. they cannot all be wrong.
However, you can always use the cable when you notice that there are issues with connection. Even so, the range of the Bluetooth connection is not what you can call great.
The battery life is not so bad even with the wireless mode.
Some of the devices on the market with both the wireless and wired connection experience a significantly reduced battery life when you transition to the wireless mode. I am satisfied with the performance and life of the battery that this tablet comes with. I have read various reviews, and most of them indicate satisfaction concerning battery life.
The big question is whether Wacom Intuos Pro Digital Graphic Drawing Tablet is a great acquisition. In my opinion, it is if you do some light-duty drawing and photo editing. You are a professional, and you need a drawing tablet that you will use daily, then it may be best to look elsewhere. But that is my opinion based on the various reviews from customers.
I find it worth mentioning that the drawing tablet comes with an artist’s glove and carrying bag. In my opinion, free gifts carry some weight when it comes to making a decision.
But most importantly, the quality and functionality of this drawing tablet are fantastic and a something for the Professionals, and beginners that have a significant amount of confidence in themselves.
You may think that it is an expensive drawing tablet by the mention of professionals, but nothing could be farther from the truth. At a price point of around $60, the drawing tablet is quite affordable. It is affordable in every sense of the word.
It is black and has a sleek design that you are going to appreciate the first time you lay your eyes on it. On the left side, the device has glossy buttons that are applicable and easy-to-use.
There are four replacement tips on the stylus holder, and the build quality of the stylus pen is fantastic. It is comfortable to hold and use a long time without feeling any fatigue. And with 2048 levels of pressure, the final product is quite decent and creates a beautiful drawing experience.
With a drawing surface of about 10” x 6.25”, you have enough area to hone your skills. In my opinion, this is enough space to create something wonderful. It is also enough space for beginners that are transitioning from drawing books and other canvas materials.
I find that the tablet has a realistic feel, and that enhances your drawing experience. The people can also truly enjoy your drawings.
And to make you genuinely efficient in the drawing, the tablet has features that prevent unnecessary slipping. You can, therefore, focus on the drawing, and achieve the efficiency that you so much desire.
The stylus pen is almost the same size as your writing pen that you use daily, and so using the drawing tablet pen is not a difficult thing to do. It is like a breeze.
And something quite different from the rest is there 16 hotkeys, and eight customizable buttons. These buttons make it easier to do essential functions such as erase, scroll and zoom in among other features.
The hotkeys and customizable buttons is not a new feature only available in this drawing tablet. In contrast, many of the drawing tablets on the market boast this feature, and it is always a great addition. It is conventional and functional and makes drawing convenient, and easier for you.
Another mainstay feature in contemporary drawing tablets is the left hand, as well as, right-hand use. Therefore, you can use the tablet according to your needs and preferences.
You may have noticed that most of the drawing tablets are compatible with Windows 10 and above and also Mac OS 10.8 and above. Currently, it is almost impossible to find drawing tablets that are compatible with such systems such as Windows XP or even Windows 7, and which is quite unfortunate for some people who still use these systems.
However, this drawing tablet is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and other latest versions, and which is a good thing.
Unfortunately, the drawing tablet will not work efficiently with such platforms as Photoshop and CorelDraw, according to a section of users. There are a few complaints, here-and-there from users that say it does not work well with these applications. However, this may be a case of a few bad apples, but it is always good to take note. Some people don’t have a problem using the tablet with Photoshop and other drawing platforms. Furthermore, professional drawing software is not bundled together with the device.
It is now common practice for Contemporary devices to come with a bundle of the software to make the work of users easier. For example, the new laptops come with such systems as Windows 10 and thereby making the work of the person purchasing the device easier. They don’t have to waste their time shopping around for an operating system. Similarly, the majority of drawing tablets on the market come with drawing applications. However, it is not all of them that follow the same trend, andHuion H610 Pro is the best indication of that.
The setup process is as easy as it can get since particular plug-and-play features make the whole process easier for you. But making the customizations is not tricky, and the software is user-friendly.
The quality of the stylus pen is fantastic. You can make different types of lines whether thick or thin effortlessly. You will also not I need to keep on replacing the battery since the stylus pen does not have that battery option. Yes, it is rechargeable, but it does not have a battery.
If you have a flexible budget and you are planning to be using a drawing tablet daily, and for heavy-duty drawing, then you may want to consider something better. Loosen your purse strings, and some of the suggestions on this review will come in handy. But if you are a beginner, and you are just learning the ropes, then this drawing tablet is not so bad, and is quite applicable for a variety of uses. The device is suitable for honing your skills and getting to learn what technology has to offer in terms of graphics editing and drawing.
The quality of this 10-inch drawing tablet is not so bad. It is something that both the professionals as well as the beginners will find quite useful. According to the manufacturers, the device supports palm rejection and pressure sensitivity. Therefore, it is something that may stock the interest of many artists.
And had almost $200, this is a drawing tablet that you can call mid-range priced. It is not too expensive, and not cheap either. However, it is a device that you can refer to as a great acquisition.
There are various highlight features that the drawing tablet comes with but of particular note is the faux leather cover. Looking at the leather covering from a distance indicates some level of sophistication and good taste. But apart from the aesthetics, the faux leather cover provides adequate protection to the device.
The covering snaps close through the use of a magnet, but he may need to press the power button to put the device on sleep mode. And apart from placing the device on sleep mode manually, you can activate the auto-sleep to conserve battery power.
The leather cover can also serve as a stand and use it conveniently to work on various sketches and drawings.
Other great features on this drawing tablet include the build quality of the stylus pen, which in my opinion is quite robust and exceptional. It is well balanced and is almost the same weight as the number of pencils you use daily. The beginners will find it quite user-friendly, and adjusting to it will not take a lot of time.
However, it may take some time to get used to using the pen. It has this hard plastic tip that may slide on the surface as you draw.
The stylus pen is powered by AAA battery and is always on by default. This may affect the life of the battery, but it is not clear whether it is a battery that lasts or not. You may have noticed that most of the stylus pens in this review have shortcut buttons on them. Unfortunately, that is not the case for SimbansPicassoTab 10 Inch Drawing Tablet. It does not have any shortcut buttons.
And while the bezels are a bit thick, it is not such a bad thing. The overall build quality of the tablet looks okay. To some people, the quality of the tablet is fantastic.
The device is thin, but the addition of a cover makes it a bit thick. There are connection interfaces at the bottom where you can connect certain peripherals such as a keyboard. You are going to find various ports on the side that include 3.5mm Headphone jack, Type-c data and power port, Mini HDMI and micro SD reader.
The mini HDMI port allows you to connect to TV or laptop. On the other hand, the microSD reader enables you to expand the memory if you feel that it is insufficient. The drawing tablet has speakers, but the quality is wanting. However, that is not something that should worry any serious artist. Entertainment is good but is secondary to the functionality of the drawing tablet.
The 10.1-inch screen has a resolution of 1280 x 800 and uses an IPS panel. Unfortunately, pixelation is apparent, and it may affect the overall quality of the drawing tablet.
Many devices including smartphones have a better resolution than what these drawing tablet offers. Therefore, the quality of the screen is a bummer. Combine that with the pixilation, and it becomes something that any serious professional may not want around. However, people are different, and a significant number of them will not have any problem with the screen quality. But in my opinion, it is significantly wanting.
The screen protector that comes with the device is glossy and reflective. Many people find it slippery, and it’ll take some time before you get used to it.
Regardless of the shortcomings, the viewing angles and color reproduction is excellent. The brightness is good, and the screen feels sturdy.
The operating system is the latest Android version, Nougat. It does not lag and comes pre-installed with Autodesk Sketchbook. The 2GB RAM ensures that the machine can multi-task with up to 10 applications running at the same time.
you can install a variety of applications such as Medibang, CorelDraw, Photoshop, one note, and Adobe sketch among others.
The manufacturer claims that the device has palm rejection, but it does not work as effectively as you may suppose. Furthermore, it may not be adequately sensitive to produce top-quality drawings to satisfy your innovation. There are a few problems with the line quality, and you may need to draw faster to avoid this problem.
The other issue that most people complain about is that of parallax, and the slippery surface. However, the problem of parallax maybe apparently depending on the application that you are using. For example, Wacom Bamboo Paper is worse off than the other apps.
Given the mid-range pricing and the average quality of the drawing tablet, it is most appropriate for beginners and students. But professionals can still use it as a make bridge as they search for a more decent device.
With a sufficient drawing area and the lots of customization options, this drawing tablet may be one of the best choices for beginners. It is one of the cheapest on the market, and it is quite a decent buy for people that are tight on budget.
The package comes with a variety of peripherals that include a stylus pen, the tablet itself, wireless receiver, pen holder and the charging cable for the stylus pen. Included in the package is an owner’s manual.
The drivers that come with the device may not work, and you may need to download new drivers from the website. However, this is not a problem affecting only this device, but it is quite common, especially with digital drawing tablets.
For people that are searching for drawing tablet with a good drawing area may find their match with this device. It has a large area of about 20.5 x 11.1, which is more than enough to play around with creativity and produce the best drawings to impress everyone. It may not be a heavy duty machine, but the sufficient drawing area does justice to the effort.
Some people complain that the vast screen area is maybe tiring to work on. However, this may be a matter of personal preference, and it may not have the same effect on other people. I prefer a large surface area to draw on.
at the top of a tablet are various icons that include battery status, wireless connection, battery life, and charging status.
There are up to 12 hotkeys that you can customize according to your preferences as well as needs. It is easy to customize the buttons using the control panel, which in my opinion is user-friendly. There have been a few complaints regarding the control panel, but I did not find any problem.
The Huion stylus pen is pretty much the quality that you would expect from the brand. It is decent quality, and the build is solid. The pen has a designed anti-slip grip that helps you grab the pen efficiently and use it for a long time. It does not make you tired, and you can draw a large project for the better part of the day.
And unlike other devices that need to be charged every day, you only charge the Huion stylus pen once a week, which in my opinion is quite convenient. But still, it may keep your work on hold as you charge it.
The pen comes with two programmable buttons that work pretty much well, and have a nice feel to it. However, the customization options are a bit limited compared to its peers on the market. Still, these options are not so bad to get the job done.
And given the price point of this drawing tablet, the pen sensitivity is quite decent, and only has a few jitters and lags, and which may not affect the overall quality of the final product. The stylus pen may not be the best, but it functions just the way you would expect it to. It fulfills the purpose.
Before you install the drivers for this drawing tablet, make sure that you uninstall all the other drawing tablet drivers in the system to prevent problems. It is only after you have installed the drivers that you can go ahead and customize the shortcut buttons on the side of the tablet.
Surprisingly, the tablet works pretty well with MAC OS as well as Windows operating systems. However, it’s working with the Mac OS is better. When using the Windows systems, you may experience problems with Photoshop such as the jitter stroke challenges, but there are no line jitters with most of the applications.
The wireless connectivity is one feature that impressed me significantly. It is not every day that you come across such good quality wireless connectivity at such a low price point. It is one area that it excels without seeming to try. In fact, you can leave the device unplugged for up to 40 hours straight. Therefore, the tablet gives you optimal mobility and can do your sketches anywhere in the house or office.
The wireless receiver also serves as a flash drive that stores up to 8GB of data. Therefore has sufficient storage space, and you will not need to search for more area, depending on your needs.
This may not be the best device for heavy use. Essentially, there are better devices on the market that boast a few more bells and whistles for the professionals.
And with that said, this is the kind of tablet that I would purchase as a beginner or a student of art trying to find my way in the trade. It is decent quality and does not cost too much. In fact, it is cheaper than most drawing tablets, and the quality is a great plus.
